On Friday, July 31, 2009, about 1013 hours, Marcos Castillo fled from an Alameda County Deputy Sheriff as the deputy attempted to detain him in the area of Haviland Avenue and Cherry Way in unincorporated Hayward. Marcos was wanted on several outstanding warrants. Marcos was able to flee the area before additional deputies could arrive to the area to assist. The deputy suffered minor injuries during the incident.
